F I F T Y - Bottle Calf

Picked her up Christmas Eve, 2017. She had a 50/50 chance of making it, hence the name. Fast forward to 2023, and she is now back with me thanks to some anwesome family friends. Fifty had a calf the last day of cotton harvest, and of course I named her Cotton! 4/25 Fifty had another little girl. 50/50 and Cotton is pregnant. Her girls are doing well.

Werlla - Bottle Calf

Born 4/10/24

His mother had mastitis. Meaning, her bag was too swollen to feed him. I was able to get him a bottle of colostrum within the amount of time. We then put his mother in with him to see if he could get any milk at all. I ended up going back daily to feed him. That Sunday, I was given Werlla to take home and feed. We are now 27 days in and starting to eat more feed and drink water. He is stil currently getting the bottle as he is just now about 4 weeks.

Update - 9/21/24 WERLLA is a growing boy and wants to eat all food and treats. He is still getting a bottle but I’m going to start weaning him off of that soon.

4/10/25 Werlla turned the BIG 1 and yes he was celebrated!

Wilhelmina (Willa) - Bottle Calf

Born 8/28/24

We got Willa at 2 days old. She came here as a bigger calf and took to the bottle and feed right away. Each orphan calf is different. She has the prettiest blue eyes and long eye lashes with a cute pink nose. As of today she is almost a month old.

5/25 Willa is getting closer to being a year old. She loves her food and loves her neck brushed.

RIP

Picked her up Valentines Eve, 2024. She is coming in with a similar story as 50. Her mom didn’t want her, and I think a few dogs got her. She is being bottle fed and rehabbed at the farm. She is trying really hard to stand. Update: A[ril 4th she got wheels and was a let to fully walk. Hopefully this will help build her muscles back up!

Keeping Up with
